Welcome to Holmewood board

We want to design the ATN proposals with input from local communities. Local knowledge is valuable, so we want to understand the following:

  • Which roads are used as cut-throughs by non-local traffic?
  • Where you find roads difficult to cross
  • Where are there issues with speeding traffic?
  • Where would you like to see new green spaces?
  • What local destinations you would like to walk or cycle to?
  • Where would you like your children to be able to play in the street more safely?
  • Are there any parking issues?
  • Permanent, physical barriers on footpaths.

Click on the ‘Map’ button below to drop pins and comment on locations within the boundaries.

If you would like to sign up to attend the co-design workshops which will be held in late 2022 or early 2023, please get in touch with us by emailing info@activetravelbradford.co.uk or calling us on 0808 196 9119.

Thank you for taking the time to get in touch with us regarding the proposed Manningham Active Travel Neighbourhood.

All of our public consultation and engagement sessions will take account of people working during the day. Our drop-in session in November ran until 7pm, while our workshop session will run from 6-8pm to ensure people who work in the day can attend.

If you would like to attend our workshop session, please get in touch with us on info@activetravelbradford.co.uk and we can let you know the date and location of the workshop.

We hope that is helpful, however, if you have any further questions or feedback then please do not hesitate to get back in touch.

The proposal for an Active Travel Neigbourhood in Holme Wood is currently at a very early stage and there aren’t any firm proposals yet.

Based on the information and suggestions we received at the drop-in session this week, as well as future workshops with residents, we will come up with some firm proposals which we will put to the community in a public consultation in spring 2023.

We have recorded your comments as part of the initial feedback on the scheme, but we would also encourage you to leave your comments on our website along with the location of the roads you would like to see permit parking on. You can find the website and leave any comments you have here: https://letstalk.bradford.gov.uk/hub-page/bradford-active-travel-neighbourhoods-atns

If you have any further questions or feedback, then please do not hesitate to get in touch with us.

Thank you for taking the time to get in touch with us and for your question.

The proposal for an Active Travel Neigbourhoods in Holme Wood is currently at a very early stage and there aren’t any firm proposals yet.

Based on the information and suggestions we received at the drop-in session a couple of weeks ago, as well as future workshops with residents, we will come up with some firm proposals which we will put to the community in a public consultation in spring 2023.

The process for the scheme at the moment is:

    • November 2022 – hold initial drop-in sessions with the community to hear about potential traffic issues and get suggestions on how they could be solved.
    • November – December 2022 – hold an initial online consultation where people can drop pins onto a map to let us know any traffic issues they can see in their area, or suggest where they would like to see things like play areas, benches, planting and greenery etc… You can find the website and leave any comments you have here: https://letstalk.bradford.gov.uk/hub-page/bradford-active-travel-neighbourhoods-atns
    • January/February 2023 – hold smaller workshops with the community where around 20 people or so can discuss possible solutions to problems with council officers. If you would like to sign up to a workshop, please just reply to this email to say you would like to attend.
    • April/May 2023 – hold a full public consultation with the firmer proposals which council officers will come up with in conjunction with residents who attend the workshops in January and February.

If you would like to sign up for a workshop in Holme Wood, please email us on info@activetravelbradford.co.uk

If you have any further questions or feedback, then please do not hesitate to get in touch with us.
