Consultation has concluded
We know that the future will be different to today, in lots of many exciting ways.
We asked people 'What do you want the District to be like as a place to live, work, learn and play? What will make it a place where you want to be and can feel proud to be? What can you do to help achieve it?'

The corona virus lockdown has proved that pollution levels can be drastically reduced if there is no traffic.
A proper ring road should be built around the city completely so that traffic needing to get past Bradford can avoid it, and all traffic bar emergencys and deliveries be banned.
The country towns and villages should remain seperate towns and villages. There should be no more house building, turning everywhere into a choking urban sprawl. Two things need to be done to achieve this.

I love Bradford. It’s a beautiful city with masses of potential.
I want to see it continue to be green. I also want it to be a leader in being environmentally friendly.
I want the city centre to become a thriving community hub where people feel happy and safe. It needs to be a place where antisocial behaviour is not tolerated and everyone can be at peace.
I want it’s roads to be safe and it’s streets to be clean.
I want all of its residents to love and respect it and champion this wonderful city 😊

I'd like to see a revolution in the provision of cycle ways across the area. To achieve this I believe legislation will be necessary to permit Bradford to construct these sympathetically & economically. If constructed properly & in flatter areas, these could be constructed without a bitumen macadam surface to minimise cost & be even more environmentally friendly.
I'd also like to see an integrated public transport system with improved services (frequency, durations & times available) across the area (& beyond).
I'd like to see an improvement in housing stock & more use of brownfield areas for new developments.
